Local-first design: Agent Escrow does not operate a Cloudflare Worker, backend API, analytics service, license server, or subscription-status service.
1. What the extension does
Agent Escrow is a Chrome side-panel utility that previews and records local policy decisions for compatible HTTP 402 and x402 payment-requirement metadata. It includes a safe built-in demonstration, custom budget settings, an optional browser-observation feature, a local human-review queue, Chrome notifications, and local audit history.
2. Information processed locally
Depending on the features you use, the extension may process:
- Payment amount, asset, network, recipient, resource, and recurring-charge indicators contained in compatible HTTP 402 or x402 metadata.
- The source website or API hostname and URL associated with an observed compatible response.
- Your locally selected spending limits, trusted domains, and policy choices.
- Locally recorded APPROVE, REQUIRE_HUMAN, BLOCK, approval, and rejection decisions.
- A local access-status setting after you confirm checkout or use reviewer access.
3. Local storage
Agent Escrow uses chrome.storage.local to save policy settings, local access status, optional pending decisions, approved daily totals, and audit history on your device. The developer does not receive these records through the extension.
4. Safe demonstration
The first-open demonstration uses fixed sample data packaged inside the extension. It does not connect to a wallet, submit a payment, or transmit the sample results to a server.
5. Optional website access
Website access is optional and is not requested during installation. If you choose to enable browser observation, Chrome asks you to grant HTTP and HTTPS website access. Agent Escrow then uses the webRequest API to inspect compatible HTTP 402 response headers locally. You can remove that permission from the extension at any time.
6. Stripe checkout
The extension contains user-initiated links to Stripe-hosted checkout. Stripe processes payment information under Stripe's own terms and privacy practices. Agent Escrow does not receive or store card numbers, bank information, Checkout Session data, subscription status, cancellation status, or renewal status.
After checkout, the user confirms access locally in the extension. Agent Escrow does not perform remote entitlement, renewal, cancellation, refund, or subscription-status checks.
7. Data not collected by the developer
The extension contains no advertising, telemetry, behavioral analytics, tracking pixels, remote executable code, or developer-operated data-collection endpoint. The developer does not sell extension data or use it for lending or creditworthiness decisions.
8. Financial and custody limitations
Agent Escrow does not hold, custody, transfer, sign, submit, or settle cryptocurrency or fiat funds. It does not connect to a wallet and is not a licensed escrow provider. Browser-observation results are advisory local policy records; another application must independently honor them.
9. Clearing local information
You can clear the local demonstration and audit records from the side panel. Removing the extension also removes extension data according to Chrome's storage behavior.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated when the extension's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top will identify the current version.
